Emento Learning: New solution helps healthcare professionals master the Patient Guide on their own
From January 15, 2025, nurses and other healthcare professionals in hospitals and municipalities will have access to Emento Learning - a new learning platform that helps make the most of the Emento Patient Guide. The solution is designed to support them in a busy workday and ensure that knowledge is always easily accessible.
Learning is set free
According to Natasha Engelbredt, project manager and learning specialist at Emento, Emento Learning is about making knowledge about the Patient Guide accessible to those who work with patients and citizens. “We have developed differentiated learning material that meets the different needs of users, such as nurses, to be able to support patients before, during and after their visit to the hospital - with the Patient Guide. This ensures that important knowledge and know-how is available without compromising the workflow,” she says, and adds:
“A lot of knowledge stays with experienced employees as tacit knowledge because it's hard to pass on - especially when time is short. So imagine a nurse on night shift who needs to use the Patient Guide but lacks insight. With Emento Learning, she can quickly find answers and get on with her work.”
Nurse Laura Christiansen has contributed to the development of Emento Learning. She knows the challenges from her daily work at the Department of Cardiopulmonary and Vascular Surgery at Aarhus University Hospital. When she took over responsibility for the Patient Guide from a colleague, she experienced how difficult it was to continue without the full knowledge:
“It was with awe that I stepped into something that other colleagues had developed before me, and I had to live up to their work and professionalism in the department. I was reusing what we had built in terms of courses, but I didn't get the building blocks because it just wasn't possible.”
